Our Story

Sugar Safari began with a dream, a road trip, and a little girl who absolutely loved cotton candy.

When Charley was just 9 years old, she started talking about owning her own business. Like many young entrepreneurs, she had lots of ideas, but one thing she always loved was cotton candy. During a family road trip, she began dreaming about what her business could look like. Inspired by her favorite stuffed animals and her love for adventure, fun, and all things sweet, the idea for Sugar Safari was born.

What started as a conversation in the car quickly turned into a family project. Charley wanted to create more than just cotton candy—she wanted to create smiles, memories, and experiences that people would remember long after the event was over.

Today, Sugar Safari brings handcrafted cotton candy to weddings, festivals, birthday parties, corporate events, schools, churches, and community gatherings throughout Northeast Florida. From classic flavors to custom creations, every fluffy cloud is made with care and a little bit of magic.

I'm Melissa, Charley's mom. When I'm not helping families find their perfect home as a Realtor® (melissaroby.com), you'll usually find me helping Charley grow Sugar Safari. Together, we manage events, create new flavor ideas, and work to make every guest's experience special.
